Handscape Massage offers the following:

Swedish Massage – The most common type of massage. This is a relaxing massage to reduce muscle tension, increase circulation and promote general wellness. It is based on five basic strokes: effleurage, a long, gliding stroke; petrissage, a kneading action; friction, circular movements and the deepest of the strokes; tapotement or “tapping,” which increases circulation in the areas being worked on; and vibration, a strong rhythmic shaking of the hands.

Amma Therapy – Based on the principles of Traditional Chinese Medicine it is an acupressure massage to manipulate and balance Qi (energy) in the body.  This is great for those who have not yet experienced Massage Therapy; this massage allows the client to remain clothed for the entire treatment.

Deep Tissue Massage – A very slow, deep pressure massage with focus to release chronic pain patterns, soften adhesions, release trigger points, break up lactic acid and soothe soreness.

Paraffin Thermal Therapy - Treat yourself to warm, soothing relief  from dry/chapped hands and feet. This heated wax therapy also helps soothe arthritis pain, bursitis and tendonitis. A perfect addition to your massage.

Chair Massage - Chair massage is a very popular mode of massage therapy, because it doesn't take a lot of time and is done while fully clothed.

The seated massage increases circulation and stimulates the muscles, thereby releasing tension in the back and relaxing the neck and shoulders. A brisk, seated massage will revitalize the recipient and contributes to overall well-being.

Workplace stress is a fact of life today. The effects of stress are cumulative and, without time to relax and recharge, can lead to:

  •         Headaches
  •         Backaches
  •         Eye and neck strain
  •         Repetitive use injuries, such as carpal tunnel syndrome and tendonitis
  •         Listlessness and poor concentration
  •         Anxiety and depression
  •         Physical and emotional exhaustion

With a regular onsite chair massage therapy program, you can reduce and perhaps prevent these negative effects of stress. A chair massage calms the nervous system and uplifts spirits.
